Practical Technology for Archives is an open-access, peer-reviewed journal that focuses on pragmatic, practical applications of archival technical processes. Each issue includes how-to articles, shorter tips and techniques, brief demonstration videos, and, where appropriate, coding snippets and examples.
The broad range of topics addressed relate to traditional and emerging applications of technologies in order to:
- facilitate access to archival materials;
- improve management of accession and other administrative processes; and,
- facilitate the sharing of archival data between repositories.
Practical Technology for Archives exists as a forum to share information, techniques, and expertise among those interested in the intersection of archives and technology.
