The needs and concerns of women in their public and working lives have unique economic, political, social, and educational characteristics. Addressing these inter-related factors while raising awareness about relevant policies and programs are the primary functions of the Institute for Women and Work (IWW), a program of the ILR School at Cornell University.

2007 New York Census: The State of Women Business Leaders in New York State
Institute for Women and Work at Cornell University, School of Industrial and Labor Relations (2008-03-19)
[excerpt] The glass ceiling still looms over women executives across New York, a new Cornell study shows. Women may represent nearly half of New York's workers but they comprise less than 15 percent of the total board director and executive officer positions in the 100 largest public companies headquartered in the state. That's according to the first annual report on women leaders in New York published by the Women's Executive Circle of New York (WECNY) in partnership with the Institute for Women and Work in Cornell's ILR School.
